Derek writes: My parents are in the process of moving house after 56 years in the same 4 bedroom property. As you can imagine it is full of a variety of belongings, including hundreds of books. These I brought to Sharpthorne for the market in September, inevitably once I publicised the word Book stall I was given quite a few more. So as a consequence I have hundreds of books to “ get rid of “.
Fortunately I was told about the Book Den at Burgess Hill run by The Lions and local volunteers. It is a shop selling second hand books, CDs, DVDs & jig- saws, raising funds for various good causes.
It is beautifully run and laid out, with the added benefit of being round the corner from the local skate Park which our son Thomas was pleased to visit twice this week after delivering the next instalment of books to the Book Den. I have now been 3 times, hopefully one more visit will finish the job.
