Last Saturday The Shurvell family made a Pilgrimage to Chichester Cathedral. A 90 minute journey through rain, puddles and poor visibility.
It felt like like quite a trek, fortunately the return home was easier.The reason for this trip was for me to be commissioned as an Authorised Lay Minister with ‘Children, Youth & Families’ in the Parish of St. Margaret’s, West Hoathly.
It was a special service with 60 laity from around the County being commissioned for a variety of ministries, led by the Bishop of Horsham, Ruth Bushyager.
It was also a rare opportunity for us to put away the scruffy work clothes and dress up for this special occasion.
