If you go down to the woods today…

Derek Shurvell writes: Teddy bears Picnic, Sunday 7th July.

The light rain stopped and the Teddy bears gathered on the Ashdown Forest to have one of their occasional Picnics.
Taking in the panoramic views the Teddys introduced themselves, and were thrown up high from an old parachute where they sang their favourite song before running down the steep bank to the woods below.
As is tradition the bears explored the woods and played hide and seek before heading back to their base. By this time a hearty picnic was required and a slice of Teddy cake was enjoyed, kindly made by Dani and decorated by Bev.
We sang, played and danced some more before departing at 5.0 p.m. rather than 6.0 p.m. “because they were tired little teddy bears’.
