Derek writes: Whilst gardening for folk I have plenty of time to think & reflect on things. On one hand the news this week is rather disappointing and causing us all to feel a bit flat. Let us stand up tall, put our shoulders back, take a deep breath and be thankful that our cup is in fact half full. Generally we have family, friends, warm homes, food and live in peaceable circumstances, we do have much to be thankful for. Thank you also to all those who came out last Sunday evening, making Carols in the Square such a special occasion.
