With funds raised so far totalling £225,000, we are well on our way to reaching our target and providing much needed facilities in St. Margaret’s church. Thank you to all who have donated so far.
Work on the project continues behind the scenes. Discussions are ongoing with our architect and the Diocesan Advisory Committee. We need a formal acceptance of our proposals from the DAC in order to be able to make further grant applications. In the meantime, informal consultations with potential building contractors are taking place to look at costings and areas of cost savings that might be achievable.
An exciting and varied programme of fundraising events is planned for the year ahead starting with an hour long Recital of Organ Favourites by Michael Heighway in the church on Sunday 18th March at 3.00pm with a high tea served afterwards. Tickets at £10 to include the tea available from Derek Shurvell on 01342 810780 or email email@example.com We are greatly looking forward to welcoming Michael, whose credentials include chorister at St. George’s , Windsor, Eton Music Scholar, 1st class degree in Music from Oxford University and grandson-in-law of Janet Slater!
